Before sunrise on the first day of my residency, the blue light played softly on the Joshua Trees of the Prime Desert Woodlands Preserve.

Los Angeles artist Dani Dodge was moved by the empty streets she saw as she walked her dog during the early days fo the 2020 pandemic. She began photographing daily life, that was changing so dramatically. Some images were personal, like a home invasion robbery. Other moments were simply capturing the moment. In others, she tagged discarded mattresses and furniture.
